The Floralands site has been a popular destination for plant lovers of Nottingham since 1866. Originally founded by Mr. Wickes after the success of his mobile nursery featured regularly at Nottingham central market. People would flock to his wagon to get their hands on some fabulous 'exotic' plants and flowers, and to meet the man who famously grew the best African Violets in England! Afterall, Mr. Wickes did have not only green fingers... but green blood too. His Grandfather was gardener to Lord Nelson.

Nowadays, Floralands is a hub of numerous small, local businesses on one site. With the additions of the Farm Park, Cafe and Gift Shop several years ago, the ever expanding site grows more and more diverse, our community of business owners are constantly working together towards making the site a welcoming and wonderful day out for all the family, something we think Mr. Wicks would be proud of!
